What review requests do
Google reviews help your business show up in local search results and build trust with potential clients. WaffleInvoice can prompt clients to leave a review after they pay, either automatically or with one click from a paid invoice.
Setting up your Google review link
- 1
Get your Google review link from your Google Business Profile dashboard. It looks like a short URL starting with g.page or a maps.google.com link.
- 2
Go to Settings in WaffleInvoice.
- 3
Click the Profile tab.
- 4
Paste your Google review link into the "Google Review Link" field.
- 5
Save.
You must add a Google review link before review requests can be sent. If the field is empty, the request buttons will not appear.
Sending a manual review request
Once you have added a Google review link, a "Request Review" button appears on any paid invoice.
- 1
Open a paid invoice.
- 2
Click "Request Review".
- 3
A review request is sent to the client by email.
- 4
A "Review requested" badge appears on the invoice so you know a request was already sent.
Auto review requests (Pro)
Pro users can enable auto review requests so the request goes out automatically every time an invoice is paid, without any manual action.
- 1
Go to Settings.
- 2
Click the Notifications tab.
- 3
Find the "Auto review requests" toggle.
- 4
Enable it.
- 5
Save.
Best practices
Send the request promptly after a job is complete and the client is satisfied.
Do not send review requests to clients who had a difficult experience.
The "Review requested" badge on the invoice helps you avoid sending duplicate requests.
