Email invoicing on the free plan
The free plan now includes 25 invoice emails per rolling 30-day window. Send invoices directly from WaffleInvoice without upgrading. New accounts under 14 days old also have a 5-emails-per-24-hours cap as a fraud guardrail; it lifts automatically at day 14.
Simpler signup - no card required
Signup no longer asks for a credit card. We collect the card the first time you click Send Invoice via an inline modal. The card is saved on file but never charged on Free - it stays as a fraud-prevention signal. Phone verification still happens at signup.
Looser password rule
New passwords now only need 8 characters with at least one number. We still check against public breach lists. Old passwords from the previous rule keep working, no reset required.

Customer Tags
Organize your client list with colored tags. Create tags directly from a client detail page, pick from 10 preset colors, and manage all tags from Settings. Tags appear as colored badges on your client list for quick visual identification.
SMS Notifications
Send SMS notifications to clients for invoice delivery, payment reminders, and upcoming appointments. Toggle SMS on in Settings, then enable per-client opt-in from the client edit page. Included with Pro, no third-party SMS account required.
On My Way Button
A large amber button on sent invoices lets you notify clients you are on the way, with an optional ETA (10 min to 1 hour). Designed for field service businesses sending notifications from the truck. After sending, the button shows how long ago the client was notified.
Google Review Requests
Request a Google review from clients after they pay. Add your Google review link in Settings to enable a manual request button on any paid invoice. Pro users can also turn on auto review requests so the request goes out automatically after payment (Pro).
Estimate Follow-Ups
Automatically follow up with clients on estimates still awaiting approval. Enable auto follow-ups in Settings or send a one-off follow-up from the estimate detail page. A badge on the estimate shows when the last follow-up was sent (Pro for auto follow-ups).
Pipeline Renamed to Status Board
The kanban view for estimates and invoices is now called Status Board. The URL has changed from /pipeline to /status-board; the old URL redirects automatically. No other changes to how it works.
Price Book Renamed to Saved Services
The Price Book is now called Saved Services. It also has a new Browse Templates feature: pick from pre-built service templates organized by industry and import them into your account in one click.
Free Guide for Contractors
A new free resource at /free-guide walks contractors and service businesses through 7 ways to find more local clients, from Google Business Profile to referrals to getting paid faster. No account required.
Savings Calculator
New interactive tool that estimates how much time and money you could save by switching to WaffleInvoice - based on your current invoicing volume and hourly rate.

Online payments via Stripe
Accept card and ACH payments directly on invoices. Clients pay from the invoice page with a single click. Stripe payouts go straight to your bank account (Pro).
Estimates
Send professional estimates to clients before starting work. Clients can review and approve estimates from a public link - no account needed. Approved estimates feed directly into invoicing.
