What Saved Services are for
Saved Services is a library of service descriptions, quantities, and rates that you use repeatedly. Instead of typing the same line items on every invoice, you save them once and insert them with a click when creating a new invoice.
Adding a saved service
- 1
Go to Saved Services in the left sidebar.
- 2
Click "New service".
- 3
Enter a name, description, default quantity, unit, and rate.
- 4
Save. The service is now available to insert on any invoice.
Browsing industry templates
Not sure where to start? The Browse Templates feature gives you pre-built service examples organized by industry.
- 1
Go to Saved Services.
- 2
Click "Browse Templates".
- 3
Pick an industry category.
- 4
Find a template that matches a service you offer.
- 5
Click Import to add it to your Saved Services. You can edit it after importing.
Templates are a starting point, not a final answer. After importing, edit the description, rate, and unit to match exactly what you charge.
Using a saved service on an invoice
- 1
Open a new or existing invoice.
- 2
Click the search or quick-add field in the line items section.
- 3
Search for the saved service by name.
- 4
Select it from the results. The description, quantity, and rate are filled in automatically.
- 5
Adjust any field if this specific invoice needs a different quantity or rate.
Editing and deleting saved services
Open any saved service from the Saved Services page to edit its name, description, or rate. Changes only affect future invoices; invoices already created are not updated. To delete a service, click the delete icon on the service row.
